Post-Incident Recovery & Reconstitution Advisory Unit

Guiding organisations through the recovery and reconstitution process to restore full operational capability after a crisis.

Unit Mission

The Post-Incident Recovery & Reconstitution Advisory Unit advises organisations on the structured recovery and reconstitution process following a significant incident or crisis. The unit develops recovery plans, advises on the prioritisation of recovery activities, and supports the management of the transition from crisis response to normal operations — ensuring that recovery is systematic, that lessons are captured, and that the organisation emerges from the crisis with improved resilience.

Key Functions

Recovery Planning

Developing structured recovery plans that specify the sequence, priorities, and responsibilities for restoring normal operations — ensuring that recovery is systematic and that critical functions are restored in the right order.

Reconstitution Advisory

Advising on the reconstitution of damaged or disrupted capabilities — including the repair or replacement of physical assets, the restoration of data and systems, and the rebuilding of organisational capacity and morale.

Resilience Improvement

Capturing lessons from the incident and recovery process and translating them into improvements in resilience — advising on the investments, policy changes, and capability developments that will reduce the impact of future incidents.
