Operational Security (OPSEC) & Digital Hygiene Advisory Unit
Protecting sensitive information and operational security through disciplined OPSEC practices and digital hygiene.
Unit Mission
The Operational Security (OPSEC) & Digital Hygiene Advisory Unit advises organisations and individuals on the practices and disciplines needed to protect sensitive information from adversary collection. The unit conducts OPSEC assessments, develops OPSEC programmes, and advises on the digital hygiene practices — including device security, communication security, and social media discipline — that reduce the digital footprint and information exposure of personnel and operations.
Key Functions
OPSEC Assessment
Conducting OPSEC assessments that identify critical information, analyse the threat, identify vulnerabilities in information protection, assess the risk of exploitation, and recommend countermeasures to protect sensitive information.
Digital Hygiene Advisory
Advising on the digital hygiene practices that reduce information exposure — including device security, secure communication tools, social media discipline, and the management of digital footprints that could be exploited by adversaries.
Training & Awareness
Developing and delivering OPSEC training and awareness programmes that build the knowledge and habits needed to protect sensitive information — creating a security-conscious culture that sustains OPSEC discipline across the organisation.
