Mass Casualty & CBRN Incident Advisory Task Force

Advising on the response to mass casualty events and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear incidents.

Unit Mission

The Mass Casualty & CBRN Incident Advisory Task Force provides specialist advisory support for the planning and management of mass casualty events and incidents involving chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear materials. The task force advises on triage and casualty management, decontamination procedures, hazard zone management, and the coordination of specialist response assets — helping organisations prepare for and respond to the most complex and demanding incident types.

Key Functions

CBRN Advisory

Providing specialist advisory on the identification, assessment, and management of CBRN hazards — advising on detection, decontamination, protective measures, and the coordination of specialist CBRN response assets.

Mass Casualty Management

Advising on the management of mass casualty incidents — including triage protocols, casualty flow management, medical resource allocation, and the coordination of medical response across multiple agencies.

Response Planning

Supporting the development of mass casualty and CBRN response plans — designing exercises that test response capability, identifying gaps, and advising on the investments needed to achieve an adequate response standard.
