Insider Threat Detection & Mitigation Unit

Detecting, assessing, and neutralising threats that originate from within trusted organisational boundaries.

Unit Mission

The Insider Threat Detection & Mitigation Unit develops and implements programmes to identify personnel who pose a risk of espionage, sabotage, data exfiltration, or violence from within an organisation. The unit combines behavioural analytics, access monitoring, and structured interview techniques with policy frameworks that balance security imperatives against civil liberties — providing organisations with a proportionate, legally defensible insider threat programme.

Key Functions

Behavioural Analytics

Applying structured behavioural analysis frameworks to identify personnel exhibiting indicators of disgruntlement, ideological radicalisation, financial stress, or coercive compromise that may precede insider threat activity.

Technical Detection

Deploying user and entity behaviour analytics tools to detect anomalous access patterns, data movement, and system interactions that may indicate insider threat activity in progress.

Programme Development

Designing and implementing comprehensive insider threat programmes — including policy frameworks, training curricula, reporting mechanisms, and response protocols — that are proportionate, legally defensible, and culturally sustainable.
