Unit Mission

The Executive Travel Security & Route Planning Unit provides comprehensive travel security support for senior executives, diplomats, and other high-risk travellers — from pre-travel threat assessment and itinerary security review through to real-time monitoring and emergency response coordination during travel. The unit produces country-specific travel security briefs, designs secure itineraries, and maintains the situational awareness needed to support travellers through rapidly evolving security environments.

Key Functions

Pre-Travel Assessment

Producing comprehensive pre-travel threat assessments and security briefs for each destination — covering the local threat environment, specific risks to the traveller, and the security measures required to manage identified risks.

Itinerary Security

Reviewing and redesigning travel itineraries to minimise security exposure — including accommodation selection, ground transportation routing, meeting venue assessment, and the identification of contingency options at each stage of the journey.

Real-Time Support

Providing real-time monitoring and support during travel — tracking the security environment, maintaining communication with the traveller and protective team, and coordinating emergency response if the security situation deteriorates.
