The Intergenerational Programs & Mentorship Unit builds intergenerational connections and mentorship relationships — developing the programs, events, and structured mentorship systems that connect young people with older community members, transferring wisdom, building relationships, and strengthening the intergenerational bonds that make communities resilient. The unit applies intergenerational programming, mentorship methodology, and community development to develop the approaches that bridge generational divides and build the social capital that strengthens communities.

Developing intergenerational programs — creating the structured activities, shared projects, and community events that bring together people of different generations, building relationships and transferring knowledge and wisdom.
Mentorship Systems
Building mentorship systems — developing the matching, training, and support systems needed to create effective mentorship relationships between experienced community members and those who can benefit from their guidance.
Community Bonding
Strengthening community bonds — developing the intergenerational initiatives that build social capital, reduce isolation, and create the strong community connections that make neighborhoods resilient.
