Unit Mission
The Peacekeeper Armed Overwatch & Deterrence Task Force provides armed overwatch and deterrence support to peacekeeping operations — deploying specialized capabilities that strengthen the protective capacity of peacekeeping missions and deter attacks on civilian populations. The task force applies peacekeeping doctrine, use of force frameworks, and protection of civilians mandates to develop overwatch strategies, advise on rules of engagement, and provide the operational support needed to make peacekeeping missions more effective at protecting civilians.
