Defending freedom of expression, press freedom, and the right to peaceful assembly against state and non-state suppression.

The Freedom of Expression, Press & Assembly Protection Team defends freedom of expression, press freedom, and the right to peaceful assembly — protecting journalists, activists, and civil society from censorship, harassment, and violence. The team applies international human rights law, press freedom advocacy, and assembly rights protection to document violations, support threatened individuals, and advance the legal and institutional frameworks needed to protect free expression and civic space.
