The Field Hospital, Triage & Mobile Telemedicine Clinic Team deploys rapidly-erectable field hospitals and mobile telemedicine capabilities to deliver emergency medical care in austere environments, disaster zones, and conflict settings where conventional healthcare infrastructure is absent or overwhelmed. The team applies military medicine, emergency surgery, and telemedicine technology to establish functional medical treatment facilities within hours of deployment, providing the life-saving care that prevents preventable deaths in the critical early phase of humanitarian emergencies.
Key Functions
Field Hospital Deployment
Establishing rapidly-erectable field hospitals in austere environments — deploying modular medical facilities with surgical, intensive care, and ward capacity within 24–72 hours of arrival to provide emergency medical care in disaster and conflict settings.
Triage Operations
Conducting mass casualty triage operations — applying START and SALT triage protocols to rapidly categorize casualties by injury severity and treatment priority, maximizing survival in resource-constrained mass casualty environments.
Telemedicine Integration
Integrating telemedicine capabilities into field medical operations — connecting field clinicians with specialist consultants via satellite communications to extend the diagnostic and treatment capabilities available in austere environments.
