Cardiovascular & Stroke Prevention Field Unit

Delivering cardiovascular and stroke prevention programs in underserved communities to reduce the burden of preventable heart disease.

Unit Mission

The Cardiovascular & Stroke Prevention Field Unit delivers community-based cardiovascular and stroke prevention programs in underserved and disaster-affected communities — providing screening, risk factor management, and health education that reduces the burden of preventable heart disease and stroke. The unit applies preventive cardiology, community health, and health equity principles to identify high-risk individuals, implement evidence-based prevention interventions, and build the community capacity needed for sustainable cardiovascular health improvement.
