The unit applies resource economics, food security analysis, and conflict forecasting to assess the resource trajectories that drive humanitarian emergencies and develop the early warning products needed for proactive humanitarian engagement.

Analyzing resource scarcity trajectories — modeling the dynamics of food, water, energy, and mineral resource depletion to identify the regions and populations most at risk of resource scarcity and its humanitarian consequences.
Famine Warning
Providing famine early warning — monitoring food security indicators, agricultural conditions, and supply chain disruptions to detect the early signs of famine risk and enable timely humanitarian response.
Conflict Forecasting
