Unit Mission
The Psychology of Post-Traumatic Stress & Resilience Analytics unit researches post-traumatic stress and resilience — conducting psychological research on trauma responses, resilience factors, and recovery pathways to improve mental health support for disaster-affected populations. The unit applies trauma psychology, resilience science, and mental health research to develop the evidence base needed for effective psychological first aid, trauma-informed care, and community mental health programs in disaster and conflict settings.

Trauma Research
Researching trauma responses — studying the psychological impacts of disasters and conflict on affected populations, identifying the factors that determine trauma severity and recovery trajectory.
Resilience Analysis
Analyzing resilience factors — identifying the individual, social, and cultural factors that protect against trauma and support psychological recovery, informing resilience-building programs.
Program Development
Developing mental health programs — translating psychological research into evidence-based mental health support programs for disaster-affected populations, including psychological first aid and community-based trauma care.
