Unit Mission
The Misinformation, Radicalization & Digital Propaganda Behavioral Lab researches misinformation, radicalization, and digital propaganda — conducting behavioral science research on how false information spreads, how radicalization progresses, and how digital propaganda influences beliefs and behavior. The laboratory applies social psychology, communication science, and behavioral research to develop the evidence base needed for effective counter-misinformation strategies, radicalization prevention programs, and digital literacy interventions.

Researching misinformation dynamics — studying how false information spreads through social networks, identifying the psychological mechanisms that make people susceptible to misinformation, and developing effective counter-strategies.
Radicalization Research
Researching radicalization pathways — analyzing the psychological and social processes that drive radicalization, identifying the intervention points where prevention programs can most effectively interrupt the radicalization process.
Counter-Strategies
Developing counter-misinformation and counter-radicalization strategies — translating behavioral research into evidence-based interventions that reduce the spread of misinformation and prevent radicalization.
