Unit Mission
The Justice, Equity & Legal System Modernization Policy Team advances justice, equity, and legal system modernization — developing the policy frameworks, institutional reforms, and capacity-building programs needed to make justice systems more accessible, equitable, and effective. The team applies justice reform, legal system analysis, and equity policy to identify the barriers to justice access, develop reform strategies, and build the institutional capacity needed for fair and effective legal systems.

Justice Reform
Developing justice system reform strategies — analyzing justice system performance, identifying barriers to access and equity, and developing the reform strategies needed to make justice systems more fair and effective.
Equity Policy
Advancing equity in legal systems — developing the policies and institutional reforms needed to eliminate discriminatory practices, reduce disparities in justice outcomes, and ensure equal access to justice for all.
System Modernization
Supporting legal system modernization — developing the technology adoption strategies, process reforms, and capacity-building programs needed to modernize justice systems and improve their efficiency and accessibility.
