Global Supply Chain Vulnerability & Trade Collapse Modeling Team
Modeling global supply chain vulnerabilities and trade collapse scenarios to inform resilience and continuity planning.
Unit Mission
The Global Supply Chain Vulnerability & Trade Collapse Modeling Team models global supply chain vulnerabilities and trade collapse scenarios — developing network models, stress tests, and simulation systems that assess the resilience of global supply chains and identify the cascade failure pathways that could lead to trade collapse. The team applies supply chain analysis, network science, and economic modeling to produce the vulnerability assessments and collapse scenarios needed to inform supply chain resilience and continuity planning.
Key Functions
Network Modeling
Modeling global supply chain networks — developing network models that map supply chain dependencies, identify critical nodes, and simulate the cascade effects of disruptions to assess systemic vulnerability.
Collapse Scenarios
Developing trade collapse scenarios — constructing plausible scenarios for major supply chain disruptions and trade collapse, enabling organizations to stress-test their supply chain strategies against extreme disruption.
Resilience Assessment
Assessing supply chain resilience gaps — identifying the vulnerabilities and single points of failure in global supply chains that pose the greatest risk of cascade failure, informing targeted resilience investment.
