Unit Mission
The Global Public Affairs, Information & Anti-Propaganda Team advances accurate information and counters propaganda — developing strategic communications, public diplomacy campaigns, and counter-propaganda strategies that promote accurate information, build international understanding, and counter the disinformation campaigns that undermine democratic governance and international cooperation. The team applies strategic communications, public diplomacy, and information operations to develop the messaging strategies and communication channels needed to advance accurate information in contested information environments.

Strategic Communications
Developing strategic communications — crafting the messages, narratives, and communication strategies needed to advance accurate information, build international support, and counter adversary propaganda.
Counter-Propaganda
Countering propaganda and disinformation — analyzing adversary information operations, developing counter-narratives, and deploying the communication strategies needed to reduce the effectiveness of disinformation campaigns.
Public Diplomacy
Conducting public diplomacy — engaging foreign publics through media, cultural programs, and digital communications to build understanding, advance shared values, and counter adversary influence operations.
