Unit Mission
The Gender Equality & Women's Empowerment Metric Unit measures gender equality progress and advances women's empowerment — developing gender equality metrics, tracking SDG 5 indicators, and producing the analytical products needed to assess progress toward gender equality and hold governments accountable for women's empowerment commitments. The unit applies gender analysis, feminist policy, and SDG monitoring to develop the measurement frameworks and advocacy strategies needed to advance gender equality and women's rights globally.
