Unit Mission
The Cyber Intelligence & Dark-Web Threat Analytics Unit monitors cyber threats and dark web activity — collecting and analyzing cyber threat intelligence, monitoring dark web forums and marketplaces, and developing the threat assessments needed to provide early warning of cyber attacks and digital threats. The unit applies cyber intelligence methodology, dark web analysis, and threat hunting to develop the intelligence products that enable proactive cyber defense and informed response to cyber threats.
Key Functions
Cyber Threat Intelligence
Collecting cyber threat intelligence — monitoring threat actor infrastructure, tracking malware campaigns, and analyzing cyber attack patterns to develop the intelligence needed for proactive cyber defense.
Dark Web Analysis
Analyzing dark web activity — monitoring dark web forums, marketplaces, and communications to identify emerging threats, planned attacks, and the sale of stolen data and malicious tools.
Threat Assessment
Developing cyber threat assessments — producing structured intelligence products that characterize cyber threats, assess adversary capabilities, and provide early warning of planned cyber attacks.
