The Crowd Dynamics & Evacuation Route Social Modeling Team models crowd dynamics and evacuation behavior — developing agent-based models, pedestrian flow simulations, and evacuation route optimization systems that improve emergency planning and mass evacuation management. The team applies crowd dynamics, social modeling, and emergency management to develop the simulation tools and planning frameworks needed to design effective evacuation routes, manage crowd flows, and reduce casualties in mass evacuation scenarios.
