Unit Mission
The Climate Negotiations & Policy Support Analytics Team supports climate negotiations with policy analytics and technical expertise — providing the analytical support, negotiating text analysis, and policy modeling needed to advance ambitious climate agreements and help negotiating parties understand the implications of different policy options. The team applies climate policy analysis, negotiation support, and SDG alignment to develop the technical products and analytical tools that strengthen the capacity of negotiating parties to achieve ambitious and effective climate agreements.

Negotiation Support
Supporting climate negotiations — providing the technical analysis, policy modeling, and negotiating text expertise needed to help parties understand policy options and advance ambitious climate agreements.
Policy Analytics
Developing climate policy analytics — producing the quantitative assessments of emission reduction pathways, carbon budgets, and policy effectiveness needed to inform climate negotiation positions.
NDC Assessment
Assessing nationally determined contributions — analyzing the ambition, feasibility, and implementation progress of national climate commitments to identify gaps and opportunities for enhanced action.
