The Black-Swan Event & Existential Risk Analysis Task Force analyzes black-swan events and existential risks — developing the analytical frameworks, risk models, and strategic options needed to understand and prepare for low-probability, high-consequence threats that could cause catastrophic harm. The task force applies existential risk analysis, tail-risk modeling, and strategic planning to identify the black-swan scenarios that conventional risk assessment overlooks and develop the preparedness strategies needed to navigate extreme uncertainty.

Analyzing existential and catastrophic risks — systematically identifying and assessing the low-probability, high-consequence threats that could cause civilizational-scale harm, developing the risk frameworks needed for informed preparedness.
Black-Swan Scenarios
Developing black-swan scenarios — constructing plausible scenarios for extreme, unexpected events that fall outside conventional risk models, enabling organizations to develop preparedness strategies for the unexpected.
Resilience Strategy
Developing resilience strategies for extreme risks — designing the organizational, institutional, and societal resilience measures needed to absorb and recover from black-swan events and existential risk scenarios.
