AI Ethics, Algorithmic Bias & Surveillance Oversight Task Force

Advancing AI ethics, addressing algorithmic bias, and providing oversight of surveillance technologies.

Unit Mission

The AI Ethics, Algorithmic Bias & Surveillance Oversight Task Force advances AI ethics, addresses algorithmic bias, and provides oversight of surveillance technologies — developing the ethical frameworks, bias detection tools, and oversight mechanisms needed to ensure that AI systems and surveillance technologies respect human rights, avoid discrimination, and operate within appropriate legal and ethical boundaries. The task force applies AI ethics, algorithmic fairness, and surveillance law to develop the governance frameworks that enable beneficial AI use while preventing harm.
