The Migrant Caravan Medical & Protective Escort Team deploys alongside large migrant caravans moving through dangerous transit corridors to provide emergency medical care, protection from criminal exploitation, and liaison with authorities along the route. The team addresses the acute medical needs of migrants — dehydration, heat exhaustion, trauma, obstetric emergencies — while providing a protective presence that deters criminal predation.

Protective Presence

Maintaining a protective presence alongside migrant caravans to deter criminal exploitation, document abuses, and provide immediate support to migrants targeted by traffickers, extortionists, and violent actors.

Vulnerable Population Support

Identifying and providing enhanced support to the most vulnerable members of migrant caravans — unaccompanied children, pregnant women, elderly, and disabled individuals — connecting them with specialized services.
