Mission Statement

The Cybercrime Investigation & Digital Forensics Task Force conducts end-to-end investigations of cybercrime incidents — from intrusion and data theft to fraud and sabotage — applying court-admissible digital forensic techniques to recover, preserve, and analyze electronic evidence. The unit supports law enforcement prosecutions, corporate incident response, and international cybercrime coordination, building the evidentiary record needed to hold threat actors accountable.

Key Functions

Digital Evidence Forensics

Applying forensically sound acquisition and analysis techniques to recover digital evidence from compromised systems, mobile devices, cloud environments, and network logs while maintaining chain of custody.

Threat Actor Attribution

Correlating technical indicators, behavioral patterns, and intelligence feeds to attribute cybercrime incidents to specific threat actors, groups, or nation-state sponsors with the confidence required for prosecution.

Prosecution Support

Packaging digital forensic findings into court-admissible evidence bundles, providing expert witness testimony, and coordinating with international law enforcement bodies for cross-border cybercrime prosecutions.
