3D-Printed & Untraceable Weapons Forensic Tracking Team

Confronting the emerging threat of ghost guns and untraceable weapons through forensic innovation.

Mission Statement

The 3D-Printed & Untraceable Weapons Forensic Tracking Team addresses the rapidly growing threat posed by ghost guns — firearms manufactured without serial numbers using 3D printing and other unregulated methods. The team develops forensic techniques to identify and trace these weapons, advises on regulatory frameworks to restrict their proliferation, and supports law enforcement investigations involving untraceable firearms.

Forensic Identification

Developing and applying novel forensic techniques to identify 3D-printed and otherwise untraceable weapons, extracting manufacturing signatures and material composition data for investigative use.

Dark Web Monitoring

Monitoring dark web marketplaces and online communities for the distribution of weapon files, components, and finished ghost guns, providing intelligence for law enforcement action.

Regulatory Advisory

Advising governments and international bodies on legislative and technical measures to restrict the proliferation of untraceable weapons while preserving legitimate manufacturing activity.
