Unit Mission
The Global Supply Chain Vulnerability & Trade Collapse Modeling Team develops models that assess the vulnerability of global supply chains and trade systems to climate-driven disruptions — extreme weather events, resource scarcity, and ecosystem collapse. The team applies network analysis, economic modeling, and climate risk assessment to identify critical supply chain bottlenecks, model cascading failure scenarios, and develop resilience strategies that reduce economic exposure to climate-driven trade disruption.

Vulnerability Mapping
Mapping supply chain vulnerabilities to climate risks — identifying critical nodes, single points of failure, and geographic concentrations of production that create systemic exposure to climate-driven disruption.
Disruption Modeling
Modeling cascading supply chain disruption scenarios — simulating how climate shocks propagate through trade networks to quantify economic impacts and identify the most consequential failure pathways.
Resilience Strategies
Developing supply chain resilience strategies — advising on diversification, stockpiling, nearshoring, and redundancy investments that reduce economic vulnerability to climate-driven trade disruption.
