Unit Mission

The Global Health Systems & Healthcare Resilience Policy Team develops global health policy frameworks that strengthen health systems, advance universal health coverage, and build resilience against pandemic and health security threats. The team applies health systems research, global health governance analysis, and health security policy to develop the institutional frameworks, financing mechanisms, and international cooperation arrangements needed for equitable and resilient global health.

Systems Policy

Developing health systems strengthening policy — designing the governance frameworks, financing mechanisms, and workforce development policies needed to build health systems capable of delivering universal health coverage.

Pandemic Preparedness

Developing pandemic preparedness policy frameworks — designing the surveillance systems, response protocols, and international cooperation mechanisms needed to detect and contain pandemic threats before they cause catastrophic harm.

Health Equity

Advancing health equity policy — developing frameworks that address the social determinants of health, reduce health disparities, and ensure that health system strengthening benefits reach the most marginalized populations.
