Unit Mission
The Diplomatic Security & High-Threat Post Protection Task Force provides security assessment, protective operations, and threat mitigation for diplomatic personnel and facilities operating in high-threat environments. The task force applies security risk assessment, protective security design, and emergency response planning to protect personnel from terrorism, political violence, and criminal threats — enabling diplomatic operations to continue in environments where security risks would otherwise preclude engagement.
Key Functions
Risk Assessment
Conducting security risk assessments for diplomatic posts in high-threat environments — evaluating threat levels, vulnerability of facilities and personnel, and adequacy of existing security measures to inform protective security investment.
Protective Operations
Providing protective security operations for diplomatic personnel — deploying close protection teams, hardening facilities, and implementing access control measures that reduce vulnerability to attack.
Emergency Planning
Developing emergency action plans for diplomatic posts — designing evacuation procedures, safe haven protocols, and crisis communication systems that enable rapid response to security incidents.
