Unit Mission
The Mass Casualty Incident Response & Field Logistics Task Force manages mass casualty incidents — deploying triage teams, field treatment units, and medical transport coordinators to sort, treat, and transport large numbers of casualties in the chaotic aftermath of major disasters. The task force applies mass casualty management, field medicine, and medical logistics to implement START triage, establish casualty collection points, and coordinate the medical transport needed to distribute casualties to appropriate treatment facilities.

Triage Operations
Implementing mass casualty triage — deploying START triage teams to rapidly sort casualties by severity, prioritize treatment, and manage the casualty flow that determines who receives care first in resource-constrained environments.
Field Treatment
Operating field treatment units — establishing and managing casualty collection points and field hospitals that provide immediate life-saving treatment to mass casualty incident survivors before definitive hospital care.
Medical Transport
Coordinating mass casualty medical transport — managing ambulance, helicopter, and bus transport to distribute casualties across available hospital capacity and prevent any single facility from being overwhelmed.
