The Coastal Resilience & Sea-Level Rise Engineering Unit engineers coastal resilience solutions — designing nature-based and engineered coastal protection systems, developing adaptation strategies, and providing the technical guidance needed to protect coastal communities from sea-level rise and intensifying coastal hazards. The unit applies coastal engineering, sea-level rise science, and adaptation planning to develop the integrated coastal management approaches that build long-term coastal resilience.
