Research Mission

The Plasma Physics & Compact Fusion Energy Generation Lab investigates plasma physics phenomena and compact fusion energy concepts — advancing the scientific understanding of plasma confinement, heating, and stability needed to develop practical fusion energy systems. The lab conducts plasma experiments, develops magnetohydrodynamic models, and evaluates compact fusion reactor concepts that could provide clean, abundant energy for remote operations, disaster response, and communities without reliable grid access.
