Research Mission

The Pharmacological Chemistry & Field-Drug Synthesis Lab develops pharmaceutical compounds and formulations optimized for stability, efficacy, and usability in austere field conditions. The lab conducts medicinal chemistry research to optimize drug candidates, develops robust formulation strategies that maintain potency under temperature extremes and humidity, and creates compact synthesis platforms that enable production of critical medicines in resource-limited environments where supply chains are disrupted.

Medicinal Chemistry

Applying medicinal chemistry principles to optimize drug candidates for potency, selectivity, metabolic stability, and pharmacokinetic properties — advancing lead compounds toward field-deployable pharmaceutical agents.

Field Formulation

Developing pharmaceutical formulations that maintain drug stability and efficacy under the temperature extremes, humidity, and mechanical stress of field deployment — enabling reliable medication delivery in austere environments.
