Emergency Microgrid, Power & Water Filtration Logistics Team
Deploying emergency microgrids, power generation, and water filtration systems to sustain field operations in infrastructure-degraded environments.
Unit Mission
The Emergency Microgrid, Power & Water Filtration Logistics Team deploys emergency microgrids, power generation, and water filtration systems to sustain field operations in infrastructure-degraded environments — managing the inventory of portable power generation equipment, water filtration systems, and microgrid components, and coordinating their rapid deployment to operational theaters where grid power and clean water are unavailable. The team ensures that field teams across all nine directorates can operate sustainably in environments where critical infrastructure has been destroyed or was never present.
Key Functions
Power Deployment
Deploying emergency power — managing the inventory and deployment of portable generators, solar arrays, and battery storage systems that provide power to field operations in infrastructure-degraded environments.
Microgrid Installation
Installing emergency microgrids — deploying modular microgrid systems that provide reliable, sustainable power to forward operating bases and community support operations in areas without grid connectivity.
Water Filtration
Managing water filtration logistics — deploying portable water filtration and purification systems that provide clean water to field teams and affected populations in environments where safe water is unavailable.
